Endlech.lu vs TripAdvisor
One tick in an amenities list against eight checked features
Endlech.lu fits if …
you need to know before setting off whether you can get in, whether the toilet is reachable and whether an assistance dog is welcome — and you are looking in Luxembourg.
TripAdvisor fits if …
you want to know whether the food is any good: reviews, photos, price level, what other guests experienced.
The two do not rule each other out — most people use more than one tool anyway.

When TripAdvisor is the better choice
- Over a billion reviews. If you want to know how the food and the service are, TripAdvisor is unbeatable — we have nothing at all on that.
- Photos from guests, not from the house. Thousands of shots showing what it really looks like.
- More than 40 countries and over 20 languages. For planning a holiday it is the right place; we stop at the Luxembourg border.
- Finding a restaurant that has not made it onto our list yet: with over nine million places recorded, the odds are far better there.
Common questions
Does Endlech.lu replace TripAdvisor?
No. The two answer different questions. TripAdvisor tells you whether the food is good. We tell you whether you can get to the table. Anyone who wants both needs both.
TripAdvisor has “wheelchair accessible” too — is that not enough?
It is exactly one tick, and it sits in the same list as “Television” and “Wine and Beer”. It does not say whether the door is wide enough, whether the toilet is reachable, whether there is a step. And it knows no “no” and no “don’t know” — only set or not set.
Who checks the information there?
The business sets the tick itself. If guests object in their reviews, TripAdvisor removes the amenity — and the business can set it again afterwards. A site visit or any evidence is not provided for.
Why not simply take the data from there?
Because we would not be allowed to. The terms expressly forbid storing, copying and indexing the content, and access is billed per record. Our dataset, by contrast, is there to download under CC BY 4.0.
