Endlech.lu vs Google Maps
Five yes-or-no attributes against measured centimetres
Endlech.lu fits if β¦
you need to know how wide the door actually is, whether there is room between the tables and whether an assistance dog is welcome β and you are looking in Luxembourg.
Google Maps fits if β¦
you need directions, current opening hours, reviews and photos β or if you are looking anywhere else in the world.
The two do not rule each other out β most people use more than one tool anyway.

When Google Maps is the better choice
- It gets you there. Endlech.lu shows nearby stops but no route β Google Maps takes you from your front door to the restaurant door, on foot, by car or by public transport.
- Google Maps is everywhere. 220 countries and territories, 250 million places. Endlech.lu stops at the border, and it will stay that way.
- Reviews, photos and busy times. What other guests wrote and photographed is there β with us it is not.
- Opening hours that move. Google pulls them from several sources; in 2025 alone the community suggested 80 million corrections.
Common questions
Does Endlech.lu replace Google Maps?
No, and that is not the aim. Need directions? Use Google Maps. Want to know beforehand whether you can get in? Use us. Most people use both anyway.
Why are the Google Maps attributes not enough?
Because βwheelchair-accessible entrance: yesβ does not say how wide the door is. One metre may do for a manual chair and not for a powered chair with a headrest. We write down the centimetres where we measured them β and leave the field empty where we did not.
Where does your data come from?
From community submissions that are checked before publication, and from our own surveys on site. What we saw ourselves carries a verification mark. What has not been surveyed counts with us as not met β not as present.
Why is my restaurant not listed?
Because we are only starting. Google has a twenty-year head start and 250 million places; we have Luxembourg. You can suggest your venue in two minutes β we check the entry before it appears.
